STORY
This website, which began as a personal blog in 2012, has become a beacon of inspiration for women seeking to improve their health and wellness. I personally hope that Modern Fit Mom becomes a popular title for moms who are a testament to their own incredible transformation and dedication to personal growth.

When I embarked on my journey, I wasn't into fitness at all. It wasn't something I ever envisioned incorporating into my life. However, life's circumstances nudged me to embrace this path without trepidation. I started with small steps, gradually incorporating workouts into my routine, unaware of the transformative journey they would set me on. As I grew stronger physically and mentally, I found myself drawn to new challenges, leading me to sign up for athletic events that once seemed beyond my reach. I completed the Arnold Amateur Bikini Competition, an NPC Bikini Competition in Northern California, a Tough Mudder Run in Lake Tahoe, and four Spartan Races with a Trifecta medal. These accomplishments were not just about winning competitions, but about pushing beyond self-imposed limitations and discovering the truth of my capabilities.

However, in 2014, my life took a dramatic turn when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis. This was a difficult time in my life, but I refused to let it defeat me. I spent the next two years in rehabilitation, pushing myself every day to regain my physical strength and mobility. With the help of supportive trainers, I was able to overcome my struggles and continue on my journey. Since then, it has been challenging to say the least, since my entire hormonal blue print has pushed me on an entirely new journey to change my approach on nutrition and fitness.

In the beginning of 2017, I have attended business conventions in networking, business marketing and investments. It was very important for me to develop skills in that area. I've connected with some of the most influential people in the industry. This new avenue in my life led me to diversify and grow my business portfolio. During this growth in mental learning, I also trained for a a new physical goal. I completed the 13.1 Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego, with the encouragement from my brother and support from a long time friend.
In those five years, I have gained a whole new perspective on living, and unfolded a phase of humbleness by the changes that came my way.
Through it all, I have learned that living a healthy lifestyle is not about having a perfect appearance or being the fastest runner. It's about taking care of oneself and finding the time to do so amidst the demands and sometimes the downfalls of life. I can honestly say that I have learned what it means to balance my devoted love to my family and my personal growth. It is a huge, every day kind of challenge.
